Red Ginger Dimsum And Tapas: Authentic Dim Sum and Tapas in Asheville

Lunch date! We take the hour+ drive from Greenville to Asheville because we love the food here! The service is also fantastic!

Came up from Charlotte just for some Christmas Eve Dimsum!!! We loved the Szechuan Wontons Pot Stickers Pork DumplingShanghai style Yay Choy Next time we will pass on the wonton soup and shrimp and chive dumpling. Devin was our quick and friendly server!

So good! I am still dreaming about the Chinese dumplings. They say they are small plates and that is very true. I would just also add that they are generous small plates. We ordered 4 and I was stuffed by the time we left. We had the chow fun, dumplings, steam bao, and calamari. All were cooked exactly as described in the menu and came with complimentary sauces. I think the only hard thing about this place is dealing with traffic. We paid for parking and had to walk a long way to the restaurant. It was winter so just a really cold walk. The place itself was warm, inviting and easy to find. If back in Asheville, I would absolutely go back. Staff was helpful and informative. Bathrooms were clean and restaurant had a zen chill feel to it. Very good stopping spot while traveling.

A decent Dimsum place in the heart of Asheville. All 4 dishes we ordered were very good. The soft shell crab curry is a must try. The dish is very well seasoned. The service is fast. The restaurant is nice from the inside.

Love it here! Every time I visit Asheville, I come to Red Ginger for delicious food and cozy ambiance (almost like I'm in my mother's kitchen!!) Service friendly and fast, but since they don't take reservations be prepared to wait during peak hours. The scallion pancakes and chow fun noodles are my favorite. Lots of options for vegetarian, vegan, etc too!

An absolute Asheville must! My husband and I shared the beans, dumplings and dan dan noodles and everything was incredible. We're from Chicago where there's a massive food scene and this small town gem would fit right in back home.

The food was delicious! We sat at the bar in the back and the service was great! The atmosphere was modern and there were good vibes. We ordered a multitude of dishes and all were great!
